The race takes place on Sunday 15 April in 2012 and we have five places up for grabs. Our four runners this year raised an amazing £10,000 between them and said the atmosphere was fantastic. It's a beautiful course and fairly flat so is good for those wanting to set a personal best and equally could be a good event for your first marathon. Visit the Brighton Marathon website for more information. To apply for one of our places please download an application form and send it to our office.
“I had ringing in my mind as I ran: ‘Run for Cecily's Fund!’ – and as I ticked off the miles I was cheered on by people shouting, ‘Come on Cecily’s Fund!’ ” Jane Chandler who ran the Brighton Marathon for us in 2010.
We have another 18 places for the British 10k Run 2012. This year our team did fantastically and there was a real sense of team work and achievement.
“The run was so much fun and it was really nice to meet all the other Cecily’s Fund runners. I have been surprised by the generosity of everyone who has sponsored me.” One of our runners from 2011
If you would like to take part in 2012 then please downlad our Application Form and Official Sign Up Form and send them both to us to reserve your place. Please see the links above for fundraising tips. For more information about the race visit the official British 10k website.
Virgin London Marathon 2012 - Sunday 22nd April
Dan Wheeler has taken on the challenge of running the London Virgin Marathon for Cecily's Fund in 2012. When Dan was 13, Cecily was the head girl at his school and he remembers her as - 'quite a remarkable person'. The run takes place a week before Dan's 30th birthday which is another motivation for Dan. Watch out for how Dan progresses in his training and fundraising. Good luck Dan!
If you have been lucky enough to recieve a ballot place in the London Virgin Marathon and would like to raise money for Cecily's Fund then we can give you fundraising support and a Cecily's Fund vest! Please contact us for more information.
