What is a Friend of Cecily's Fund?

Someone who gives £12 a month or more to support Cecily's Fund's work and wants to be a little bit more iinvolved in the work they are supporting.

What is the benefit (to you) of becoming a Friend?

Friends of Cecily's Fund Updates

Friends receive two Friends' Updates a year with more in-depth stories about the children they are helping to support and a look at the wider picture - including the Zambian culture and economy, the HIV epidemic, education policies etc.

Annual gathering

Friends are also invited to an exclusive annual gathering to hear speakers on our work in Zambia and join in with discussions about the work they are helping to make possible. The next of these will be in April and Friends will be receiving an invitation shortly.

Why are regular donations so important?

Education is a long term commitment. For every vulnerable child that we identify and enrol at primary level, we make a committment of up to 12 years to see them through to the end of their schooling.

Stability is all the more important to these children who have been bereaved, sometimes more than once, and may have been uprooted repeatedly to live with different relatives. That's why we promise to support them for as long as possible.

We very much rely on your regular donations to keep this promise to our children.

How do you become a Friend?

Simply set up a regular donation either through payroll giving, or by standing order for £12 a month or more.

If you would like to find out more, without any committment, please do contact us.
