- Big Give Christmas Challenge Congratulations! You have helped us raise £9,115 which will be matched by The Big Give - making enough to keep four hundred orphaned Zambian children in secondary school for a whole year!
This Christmas Cecily's Fund had an amazing opportunity to double the support you give to our Kitwe Education project through an on-line fundraising website called the Big Give. We had a challenge to raise £11,000 from supporters, which could then be matched. Thank you to everyone that donated. The Big Give's matched funds have now run out. We apologise if you tried and were unable to get through. If you would like to make a Christmas donation then please see other ways that you can donate.
Who will it help?
“I think everyone should be able to go to school and get educated like me. If I finish school I can look after my grandparents.”

Katy (left) has lost both her parents and now lives with her grandparents. Cecily’s Fund is supporting her and her siblings at primary school in Kitwe, N Zambia. A child who completes primary school is three times less likely to contract HIV. A £30 donation helps to buy a uniform, shoes, books, pens and pencils to enable a child like Katy to go to primary school for a whole year.
