Cecily's Fund Staff

Cecily's Fund has three full-time and three part-time members of staff who maintain and develop the charity's programmes and activities.

Caroline Horne – Manager

Caroline brings a wealth of experience to Cecily’s Fund, having previously worked in a capacity building role with local disability NGOs in Burkina Faso and Mali in West Africa. She has a Masters in Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, speaks French, Russian and Moore (Burkina Faso’s national language) and enjoys all sorts of activities which give her the excuse to be outdoors. Caroline is focused on developing Cecily’s Fund’s fundraising activities in the UK as well as nurturing relationships with our Zambian partners to ensure that we honour our commitment to supporting the education of Zambian orphaned and vulnerable children.

Helen Cox – Fundraising Officer

Helen Cox comes to Cecily’s Fund from a background in fundraising and marketing, having previously been the Fundraising and Marketing Coordinator at an Oxfordshire-based charity dealing with dementia care and training. Helen has previously volunteered for the National Trust and enjoys horse riding, live music and snowboarding. She looks forward to contributing to Cecily’s Fund’s growth by developing corporate partnerships and organising events and adventure challenges.

Sabita Banerji - Marketing and Communications Officer

Sabita Banerji joined Cecily’s Fund after a successful twelve and a half year stint working in various communications roles at Oxfam. Sabita was born and brought up in India and she has strong family ties with Oxford, through her English mother.

The role of Marketing and Communications Officer is a diverse one and Sabita will be working to raise the profile of Cecily’s Fund, improve our communications and support individual donors with their fundraising. She’s looking forward to utilising her communications skills to bring Cecily’s Fund into the 21st Century!

Mandy West – Accountant (Part-time)

Mandy trained in accountancy practice to AAT standard before moving back into the commercial world. She survived five years at Oxford United during the very difficult post-Maxwell years. Mandy also has seven years of book-keeping experience in the motor-trade under her belt, which she maintains “was a very good grounding in dealing with whatever is thrown at you on a daily basis”.

Julie Grime – Fundraising Support Officer (Part-time)

Julie was previously the Administrative Assistant for Cecily’s Fund and her role in the organisation has developed to encompass supporting community fundraising activities. A Yorkshire Lass in Southern parts, Julie enjoys walking in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside and skiing in the mountains of Eastern Europe. Julie’s previous career was in the travel and tourism industry which she left to raise a family. She decided on a change when she returned to work in 2007 and is now very much looking forward to her new role as Fundraising Support Officer.

Jemma Hayward – Administrative Assistant (Part-time)

As Cecily’s Fund’s Administrative Assistant, Jemma plays a key role in administering donations and organising the office. Jemma studied geography and sociology at Oxford Brookes University, from where she went on to work for the Environment Agency which gave her an excellent grounding in customer service. Jemma’s interests include genealogy, playing badminton and going to music gigs. Jemma is very enthusiastic about her new role at Cecily’s Fund and looks forward to contributing to the smooth running of the organisation.
