Cecily's Fund Gift Cards
These are gifts that will really change people's lives. Help a child to go to school or a young person to train as a teacher! Choose from one of the following options, and you will be giving more young people in Zambia the chance of an education. We will send you a greetings card, along with a small insert to explain the gift, for you to give to the recipient.
£7 - pays for a school uniform for an orphaned child.
Uniforms tend to be worn in all government schools in Zambia; without one a child may be turned away from school or stigmatised by his/her peers.
£10 - pays for a pair of school shoes for an orphaned child and completes the school uniform requirements.
£25 - pays for an orphaned child to go to primary school for a whole year. This gift can include provision of a school uniform, shoes, books, pens and all school & exam fees.
£50 - pays for an orphaned child to go to secondary school for a whole year and can include provision of a school uniform, shoes, calculator, books, pens and all school exam fees.
£250 - pays for an orphaned school-leaver to train as a health educator and spend six months running awareness-raising sessions in schools, enabling children to make informed choices and to protect themselves from HIV/AIDS.
£450 - pays for an orphaned school-leaver to train as a health educator and run awareness-raising sessions for a whole year.
£350 - pays for an orphaned school-leaver to train for one year as a teacher and includes all fees and living allowance costs.
