Information for pupils

Life in Zambia is very different to your life in the UK

Many pupils walk up to three hours for the opportunity to learn. Often the meal they get at school is their only meal all day.  They want knowledge because they see education as the way out - it gives them hope when they thought everything in life was hopeless.

  • Pay for the teaching staff, midday meal and educational supplies of a community school of 756 children called Bwafwano, just outside the capital city of Lusaka.
  • Offer training to a number of our school-leavers each year to teach other children how to stay healthy and avoid HIV.
  • Support some of our school-leavers to train as teachers, doctors and engineers.
