What does a mother mean to you? To the two little girls on the right, a mother means someone someone to care about their future. A mother means being able to go to school. These children, and thousands like them, have lost their parents. Cecily's Fund makes it possible for them to go to school, where caring, well-trained teachers look after their well being. Mother's Day flowers fade, but an education lasts a lifetime.

WORLD AIDS ORPHAN DAY
There are currently 1.2 million orphans in Zambia - over half of them have lost their parents because of AIDS. We are making plans to mark this day and hope that as many of our supporters as possible will join us either by attending one of our events or by putting on their own event.
Cecily's Fund will be organising activities in the UK, Switzerland, the USA and Zambia to mark this important day.
Why not do something in your school, university, office, or community to mark the day?
World AIDS Orphans Day is an international day - for more information see www.worldaidsorphans.org

ALL YEAR ROUND
Feed their minds, fund their futures
Education feeds the minds of orphans and vulnerable children, and this in turn helps them put food on the table for their families in the future. So next year our fundraising theme is food and drink.
We anticipate a plethora of cake sales, teddy bears’ picnics, dinner parties and more!
Change collections
Save your small change for Cecily's Fund with one of our cardboard coin mountains for use at home. Ask us to send you one of our new make-it-yourself boxes - the small change you save can make a big difference and every penny really does count!
Make Music Give Hope
Following the huge success of our 10,000 mile challenge last year which helped us raise over £40,000 we are now challenging our supporters to beat that record by raising money through music to give hope to the orphans and vulnerable children of Zambia. Concerts, busking, quizzes, karaoke, charity balls, dances, parties, CD sales... the possibilities are endless! Put your money making musical event on You Tube and you could win a prize for the best idea. For more information see our Make Music Give Hope web page. If you'd like any advice or help in organising something like this, contact us at Cecily's Fund.
10,000 Mile Challenge - Run for the Fund
You’ve met our ambitious challenge to celebrate our 10th Anniversary: by walking/running/swimming/climbing/cycling 10,000 miles - the equivalent of the distance from Oxford to Lusaka! But why stop there? We could keep going and cover the 10,000 miles back to Oxford again. For more information about how you can help, and an outline of walks that have been organised so far, please see our 10,000 Mile Challenge page. If it's too cold outside, why not cover a few miles on the treadmill, cycling machine or rowing machine at your gym. Talk to the gym manager about organising a 10,000 mile challenge day and get other gym users involved too. If you'd like any advice or help in organising something like this, contact us at Cecily's Fund.
