Our fundraising theme this year is Feed their Minds, Fund their Futures. Can you come up with fun food-related ways of raising funds to help vulnerable children go to school and learn the skills that will help them put food on the table when they grow up and have children of their own? Some ideas we've heard so far include skipping snacks and donating the money saved (also helps you eat more healthily!), mystery dinner parties with exotic menus, home-made cookery books of favourite home-made dishes...
We so enjoyed our two previous fundraising themes; 10,000 mile challenge (Run for the Fund!) and Make Music Give Hope that we've decided to keep them all going at the same time. We look forward to hearing about your walking/running or musical fundraising plans, and are delighted to help with posters, press releases, sponsorship forms, tips and guidelines.
If you'd like to support but prefer someone to do all the hard work (!) visit our sponsor a friend page.

Jacques Brel

ALL YEAR ROUND
Feed their minds, fund their futures
Education feeds the minds of orphans and vulnerable children, and this in turn helps them put food on the table for their families in the future. So next year our fundraising theme is food and drink.
We anticipate a plethora of cake sales, teddy bears’ picnics, dinner parties and more!
Change collections
Save your small change for Cecily's Fund with one of our cardboard coin mountains for use at home. Ask us to send you one of our new make-it-yourself boxes - the small change you save can make a big difference and every penny really does count!
Make Music Give Hope
Following the huge success of our 10,000 mile challenge last year which helped us raise over £40,000 we are now challenging our supporters to beat that record by raising money through music to give hope to the orphans and vulnerable children of Zambia. Concerts, busking, quizzes, karaoke, charity balls, dances, parties, CD sales... the possibilities are endless! Put your money making musical event on You Tube and you could win a prize for the best idea. For more information see our Make Music Give Hope web page. If you'd like any advice or help in organising something like this, contact us at Cecily's Fund.
10,000 Mile Challenge - Run for the Fund
You’ve met our ambitious challenge to celebrate our 10th Anniversary: by walking/running/swimming/climbing/cycling 10,000 miles - the equivalent of the distance from Oxford to Lusaka! But why stop there? We could keep going and cover the 10,000 miles back to Oxford again. For more information about how you can help, and an outline of walks that have been organised so far, please see our 10,000 Mile Challenge page. If it's too cold outside, why not cover a few miles on the treadmill, cycling machine or rowing machine at your gym. Talk to the gym manager about organising a 10,000 mile challenge day and get other gym users involved too. If you'd like any advice or help in organising something like this, contact us at Cecily's Fund.
Happy New Decade to all our supporters. We look forward to the next ten years of working with you to help imrprove the lives of thousands of children through edcuation - and to bring a smile like this to many more faces!
