Ways your business can help
Your business can make a huge difference to the lives of orphaned children in Zambia. If you would like to support Cecily’s Fund or find out more, please contact us.
Being a small charity, your company will really be able to see the difference you can make to the work that we do supporting orphaned children. We also offer committed, friendly staff enabling us to provide a high-quality service for our corporate supporters and partners. We would be very happy to come and meet you personally to present the work of Cecily’s Fund and discuss how we can tailor packages to meet your interests and requirements, for mutual benefit.
Charity of the Year
Why not adopt Cecily’s Fund as your charity of the year? One of the best ways for a company to show their corporate social responsibility is through its workforce. A charity of the year relationship can be a successful tool for team building and boosting staff morale, and it can provide some of the most valuable returns through enhanced motivation, loyalty and staff development.
You might like to fundraise for a particular project or aim to support a specific number of children. Whatever your aims, we can provide fundraising packs, materials, ideas and support.
Payroll Giving – Give As You Earn
We can help businesses to set up their payroll giving scheme. The following external websites provide more information about payroll giving www.payrollgivingcentre.org.uk
www.hmrc.gov.uk
www.cafonline.org
For Employees: Payroll Giving is a tax-effective way to give regularly to Cecily’s Fund. If you give through your payroll, your money can do even more to help us to help orphans in Zambia. This is because whatever you pledge each month is taken from your salary before tax is deducted. To participate in Payroll Giving, your employer needs to be running a scheme. If your employer does not run a scheme, please consider setting up a Standing Order.
Sponsorship
Charity sponsorship can be a justifiable part of your marketing strategy, bringing branding and media coverage opportunities. It will also help communicate your company as a good corporate citizen.
Sponsor a publication: Our annual report, newsletters, programme updates and DVD’s are sent to 3,000 people across the world.
Sponsor an event: Our Opera is an exclusive, professionally staged black tie event in the Cotswolds. We have a number of packages available from sponsorship of the entire event, to sponsoring a table (including tickets) or the wine. The Opera is a great corporate hospitality opportunity to which you can invite colleagues and clients.
Sponsor a project: Click here for information about our projects. There are many ways to support our work in Zambia and we can tailor a sponsorship package to meet your requirements.
Organise an event: Devise and host an event in aid of Cecily’s Fund. This could be anything - a masked ball, a summer gala or a corporate golf day. Events are a great way to entertain clients, motivate staff and raise money. You may already organise an annual event such as a Christmas party which could also double up as a great opportunity to support Cecily’s Fund. We can help you get publicity for your event in the local papers - good coverage for your business.
Matched Giving
A practical way to encourage your workforce is to match fund their efforts and rewarding them for their generosity. It boosts morale and encourages team building. Another benefit is a reduced tax bill – you don’t have to pay Corporation Tax on the money you use to match employee giving.

Cecily's Fund Business Christmas Cards
Do you send out business Christmas cards to your clients? You can choose personalised cards that benefit Cecily's Fund from a wide variety of styles to suit all tastes at competitive prices. Cards can be ersonalised to include your company message, logo and signatures. Cecily's Fund will receive 20p for every card bought. Last year this scheme enabled us to send an extra 40 orphans to primary school. Click here to go to the cards website and browse cards or place your order.
We are designing our own Christmas Card this year, which will be available to buy online and to order from the office from early autumn. Please email us to let us know if you’d like to be informed when the cards are available.
Gift Cards
We also offer a range of Gift Cards which are meaningful gifts at any time of year. They can be purchased online here or ordered from our office.
Wish List – Gifts in Kind
Could your company support Cecily’s Fund by donating items or equipment? We have a small office in Oxfordshire and are often in need of equipment to keep us running at full efficiency! We generally do not send items out to Zambia from the UK. It's cheaper to purchase goods in Zambia and doing this also supports the local economy. It does depend on the item/s in question, so please get in touch if you have an item that you would like to donate.
Cecily's Fund - Wish List
We are in need of a black and white photocopier with auto-feed and also a black and white or decent colour LaserJet printer.
Stationery: Reams of white A4 office paper, white A4 card and envelopes, offers to replicate or sponsor our informational DVD, postage, quality prizes for auctions and raffles, printing services etc
Please contact us if you have anything you would like to donate.
