Swiss Friends of Cecily's Fund

Cecily's Fund was set up by Basil and Alison Eastwood in memory of their daughter, Cecily, who tragically died while on her gap year in Zambia in 1997. Its purpose is to continue Cecily's work educating Zambian children orphaned by AIDS.

Basil Eastwood later became the British Ambassador to Switzerland and many well-wishers there began to support Cecily's Fund by making donations, organising fundraising activities and spreading the word about Cecily's Fund's vital work. And so Swiss Friends of Cecily's Fund was born.

An active group of Swiss-based volunteers continues to raise funds for and awareness about Cecily's Fund's work, and many Swiss churches and schools also actively support us.

Swiss Friends of Cecily's Fund has Swiss charitable status enabling supporters in Switzerland to deduct donations from Swiss taxable income. To make donations please go to our donations page.
